IRS eServices (TIN Matching) will be unavailable Thursday 8/17 through Tuesday 8/22. RMIS will NOT be able to provide TIN matching services.
Scheduled Maintenance Report for RMIS
Completed
The IRS has cancelled their scheduled TIN matching outage. The IRS eServices website currently states:
"8/16/2017 - The outage period scheduled for Thursday, August 17, has been delayed. No new date has been confirmed."

RMIS expects all TIN matching to remain functioning normally at this time.

Scheduled
The IRS has posted the following on their eServices website:
All e-Services tools will be offline 6 p.m. EDT 8/17/17 through 6 a.m. EDT 8/21/17 for technology updates. All applications (e-File, TDS, AIR and TIN Matching) return 8/22/17.

Since the IRS eServices TIN Matching portal will be down, RMIS will NOT be able to provide TIN matching services until the IRS system returns to service. RMIS will queue any TIN matching requests and will process them when the IRS system returns.

Please plan for the fact that TIN matching will be unavailable for those days which may impact your insured's certification status if you currently require a valid TIN match to use an insured. One option would be the application of a temporary override of the TIN match requirement during the blackout period. Please contact RMIS customer support with any questions.

Thank you.
