Update
The IRS is still reporting that the TIN Matching service is within their maintenance window. However, RMIS is able to run TIN matching successfully at this time. All queued requests have been handled and all new requests are running normally.

Please be aware that the IRS may still make changes that might make the service unavailable since we are still within their maintenance period. - PL

Scheduled
The IRS has posted the following on their eServices website:
The transition of e-Services to a new platform is scheduled Thursday, September 7 at 6:00 AM ETD through September 12 at 6:00 AM. All products must be offline at varying times to complete this transition.

Since the IRS eServices TIN Matching portal will be down, RMIS will NOT be able to provide TIN matching services until the IRS system returns to service. RMIS will queue any TIN matching requests and will process them when the IRS system returns.

Please plan for the fact that TIN matching will be unavailable for those days which may impact your insured's certification status if you currently require a valid TIN match to use an insured. One option would be the application of a temporary override of the TIN match requirement during the blackout period. Please contact RMIS customer support with any questions.

Thank you.
